Charles Michael Konkus

Charley Konkus, 64, of Barrington, Ill. passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2015.  Charley was a member of the Algonquin Diamondbacks from 1998-2007.  He was known for his ability to hit with power while also being a good contact hitter.  Charley rarely struck out and maintained an on-base percentage close to 50%.  In 2005 he had a key hit in the seventh inning of the Diamondbacks 4-3 championship game victory and caught the final out, a pop-up to first base.

Charley loved baseball and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, his hometown team.
