Sunday, April 22 (WEEK 2)
The Bats (0-1) fell prey to the "one bad inning" syndrome that has haunted them in past seasons while losing 12-0 to the River Bandits (1-0) in a morning game at Marengo High School. The Bandits tallied 6 runs in the fourth inning to take an 8-0 lead and break the game wide open. The Bats only serious scoring threat came in the first inning when Randy Harris and Don Gragnani stroked two-out singles, but both were stranded on the bases.
